Plan to expand to a 50 bed 30,000 SFT hospital building with 6 specialities to be eligible for the government reimbursement program.

Bannu Hospital Expansion Project:

Since Bannu Charity Hospital’s opening in Feburary of 2016 the effect on rural Eturnagaram has been immense. Bannu has initiated services never before provided in this region. Over 22,000 patients have been seen. The ability to provide care to the most rural of tribal people has allowed the organization to provide lifesaving, state of the art treatments to a catchment population of nearly 200,000 lives. From the operating theater to emergency services, operations run around the clock. Bannu continues to strive for the most advanced treatments available. With increasing demand Bannu continues to grow while employing nearly 100 local residents and improving ancillary services with a boon in local businesses. Every effort has been made to invest time and energy in to the surrounding community. This has allowed for individuals to receive higher level education and jobs where they did not exist previously. Bannu as an organization is continuing to meet the socioeconomic and medical needs of this underserved region. The need continues to grow and demand for continuing medical care and education has only begun.

Bannu seeks to expand to a 50 bed hospital with vital specialty services including; Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Surgery. The expectation is to expand the current employee base to over 120 full-time. With increasing need for nursing and paramedical personnel there is a planned expansion of emergency services including additional ambulances and training programs. The above expansion will insure sustainability as a non-for-profit organization. Qualifying for reimbursement through already established government health system will allow us to provide care to the poorest tribal people of this region.

  • My wife needed emergency C-section. She was quickly taken to the OR where she delivered safely and both baby and mother are healthy. We were able to avoid long distance to other hospital and save nearly $800.
